York talk - Acupuncture and Nutrition

4/25/2014

I’ve just heard about a talk taking place in York on 17th June.

It’s being led by an acupuncturist, nutritionist and a registered nurse who all specialise in the treatment of IBS.

I’ll be going as I think this could be really useful and a great opportunity to speak to medical professionals.

More information can be found on the poster which can be downloaded here.

Tickets are £7 and can be purchased through the link below.

Hope to see you there

I've recently been in touch with a company called Luto and they're looking for volunteers to help them with their work on IBS.
Please click on the link below to find out more and I've attached one of their leaflets if you want to pass this round. I think this is a great, easy way to help with IBS.

Luto are experts in writing clear health information. We are looking for volunteers to help us make information about IBS easy to understand. If you have IBS and live near the Leeds area, please contact us for more information. Volunteers who take part are paid for their time.

Call us on 0113 384 5893 or visit our website www.luto.co.uk/about/volunteering

Science of Digestion - CORE talks in Manchester

Last year I attended the Exploring the Science of Digestion event in London. This was a series of free talks held over a few hours.

One in particular was of great interest – Beating that Irritable Bowel by Dr. Anton Emmanuel. This was a fantastic chance to hear from an medical expert and meet a lot of people in the same position as us.

Now the event is coming to Manchester on 17th June. Tickets are free and I think it would be really interesting for anyone looking to further their understanding of IBS.

If you can’t make it and are in interested in hearing about what was previously discussed you can watch video’s of the earlier talks here - Core IBS talk

Is help finally at hand as we try to manage our symptoms and work out what foods or events make our IBS flare up? Please take a look at my review of the IBS Diary app from Buscopan over in the Useful Links section of the site.

It would be great to get some feedback from other users and hear if you found it useful.
